Fuss!!!

Should this be considered a fuss?! Part I

I’m sure everyone heard about the caricatures of the prophet Muhammad published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands. When this first happened, the OIC complained about it but neither the government nor the newspaper agreed to apologize claiming that they have freedom of speech in their country.

Recently a director with Arla told the Jyllands-Posten – (the newspaper) that some Arabic countries have stopped selling its dairy produce and had begun a boycott of Danish goods. Now they start to apologize as they called the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia for consultation.

Should this be considered a fuss?! – Part II

Quwat el-Hamas won the election ladies and gentlemen. I was flipping channels last night, actually my mother was and all we could hear were what ifs. The most what if I was concerned about was what if US stopped giving aid to Palestinians. Hamas asked them not to cut aid but no one knows what will happen.

My mother was also telling me that this could turn out to be a really, really good thing since its proven that ppl that were a menace to society or a menace in any way possible have changed after giving them a political role. One of these ppl was Mr.Yassir Arafat. Back in his days he was also in a group almost like the Hamas but he has changed and the impact or the difference he has done was great.

It’s a nice beginning, I hope we will come to hear greater stuff inshallah. Who said 2006 is gonna be a bad year?!

About boycotting the Danish products; that never really worked for me. Not with US or UK. I know shame on me :)

I think the Hamas winning is going to bring alot more Drama than people want or need. Certainly more blood shed. Apparently if Hamas refused to disarm then the US will stop supporting Palestine. That is certainly not democracy. Which is ironic because US was encouraging democracy in ME for so long. I guess, they are not happy with the results (that the people voted for Hamas) and they would certainly do something about it! War?

The positive side is that Hamas does promote free education and health care :)

Thanx for ur comments ppls

the EU is threatening' to cut aid as well now.. I really think that the Hamas's way of handling stuff will change. Its different when you are trying to speak up from the outside and when you are being heard and you are in the inside.

ABOUT THE BOYCOTT, Libya just removed their ambassador in Denmark and warned Denmark that they'll be acting against them economically. Bahrain's ruler asked all the Bahrainis to boycott since the relationship between them and Denmark is not so important and what is so important is Islam.

Cousin- you rock, imma try to boycott too..

caricatures not impressive at all!!! In fact, i felt that was uncalled for. There's a line especially when concerning other people's religions and belief that i believe one should not cross and what dissapoints me more is the fact the government didn't have a problem with it until they realised that actions would be taken to boycott their products, hmm... where's the sincerity in that?!

Hamas, InshaaAllah Kheir, let's just sit back and watch what lies ahead in the never ending political chaos.

Guys,

So many new countries for you to boycott now! Wow! I think only the lazy ones in Europe have not reprinted the stupid cartoons yet. Maybe they're just slow, and will catch up soon.

What a great way to establish peace and understanding in the world.

"Shame on both your houses!!"

i agree so many countries to boycott now.. smart thinking from their side but things shouldn't have gone this far..

I personally think the shame is with the danish Government.. they didn't play it politically at all..
